Oni Press announced that Mars’ Nacelleverse biker mouse has been winning a continuous series since June. Melissa Flores writes the art and series of Daniel Guete. The new series will be released about a year after its debut on ONI Press last year.
“We play it 100% straight, and there’s no winking in the audience. It’s not a typical ‘funny animal comic’,” said editor Carl Bollers. “And while there are ‘Cowabunga’ and ‘Boo Ya’ style catchphrases, to fill the fuel tanks of old and new fans, overall, we definitely won’t draw a punch this time and hopefully appeals to readers of all ages. Two-wheel drive – the charm of the 4th quadrant. That’s the biker mouse formula. ”
So, what is the Mars biker mouse?
The Red Planet is in a rebellion. . . And the hard-charged rebel throttle, Vinny and Modo join together with Mars’ freedom warriors to fight an army of alien Plutalcian invaders. But will the war of bikermouth become a full-fledged apocalypse as a new, completely unexpected threat to Mars raises ugly heads and threatens the existence of family, friends, and the fourth planet itself?
