ONI Press is making its presence felt at this year’s New York Comic Con. The publisher has announced that it will bring creators and title slates to Big Apple for Reedpop’s latest Extravaganza. At its roots, it is all the strangeness: a production company founded in 1967 by Elijah Wood and Daniel Noah, the first title of the Oni and Spectrum Vision partnership.
Noah is co-writer of the series, along with Green Arrow’s Chris Condon and his Texas blood fame. Cover to High Strangeness: 1967 #1, offered as a variant at NYCC this year, #1 features UFO photos taken by Noah himself.
“At 3pm on October 8th, ONI Press will offer to sign Retailer Day right after the retailer’s presentation with renowned creator Matt Kindt (Abyss’ EC inscription) and Chris Condon (High Transition, The Goddamn Tragedy),” Oni said in a press release. “Kindt signs a special secret new item to be released next week, so they join the Pavilion River, Condon signs high oddity.
Outside of the signature event adjacent to the retailer, the publisher will also host its own panel, titled “The Biggest Colors” after the slogan. That panel will be held on Friday, October 10th at 3:30pm at Room 406.3 at the Eastern Javits Center and will feature appearances by Oni’s Hunter Gorrison and Carl Bollers, as well as creators such as Rodney Burns, Matt Hagerty, Kint, Georginody and Adam Sis.
This year’s New York Comic Con will be held at Javits Center in New York from Thursday, October 9th to Sunday, October 12th.
