Marvel Comics has shed new light on Ultimate Universe: One Year In #1, written by Deniz Camp and art by Jonas Scharf. Scheduled to be released on December 11th, the one-shot also features Chris Condon and Alessandro Cappuccio setting the stage for the Ultimate Wolverine series.
Commenting on the creation of this issue, Camp said: “My goal for ULTIMATE UNIVERSE: ONE YEAR IN was simple: create a gateway for new readers into the Ultimate Universe. Reward long-time readers, especially those who wanted more connective tissue between the Ultimate books. And , Maker It sets the stage for next year’s story that builds towards the return of the villain, telling all this from the bad guy’s point of view in a complete and satisfying one-issue story. New York, NY — October 30, 2024 — Coming in December, ULTIMATE UNIVERSE: ONE YEAR IN #1 is a collaboration between Ultimates writer Deniz Camp, artist Jonas Scharf, and the upcoming Ultimate Wolverine creative team, Chris Condon. An amazing one-shot set by Alessandro Cappuccio. Next year of ultimate storytelling! Today, fans can check out all the covers of this long-awaited issue and get a sneak peek at both stories. Each story adds a new major character to the Ultimate Universe tapestry: Wolverine and Nick Fury.
Among the covers is a group of variant covers featuring regular Ultimate Series cover artists Marcio Cecchetto (Ultimate Spider-Man), Stefano Caselli (Ultimate Black Panther), Momoko Peach (Ultimate X-MEN), and Dike Luan (Ultimate) Contains. off and brought skills to each other’s series characters. We also spotlight a terrifying portrayal of the Maker by comic book legend Frank Miller, one-sixth of Josemaría Casanovas’ epic filler covers spanning all Ultimate titles, and Ultimate Wolverine’s first appearance in a future series. A never-before-seen preview page reveals Nick Fury’s role in the Maker’s world order and offers a glimpse behind the curtain. As the return of their master approaches, the Council of Makers convenes to discuss the sudden rise of superheroes determined to bring hope to a corrupt world. Since the Ultimate Universe began, readers have learned more and more about its twisted origins, and now Deniz Camp and Jonas Scharf uncover some of its darkest truths. Additionally, as a prelude to Chris Condon and Alessandro Capcio’s latest ongoing Ultimate series, Ultimate Wolverine, which launches this January, we introduce the makers’ ultimate weapon, the Winter Soldier.
