New York Comic Con hasn’t even started yet and studios are wasting no time making announcements this week. Case in point, today we released the trailer for Watchmen Chapter II, the final installment of the animated series Watchmen, the seminal comic book series from writer Alan Moore and artist Dave Gibbons.

Watchmen Part 2, the second part of an all-new two-part animated feature film from Warner Bros. Animation and Paramount, based on DC’s acclaimed graphic novel, co-created and illustrated by Dave Gibbons. Chapter 2 will be released digitally on November 26th. It will be released on 4K UHD and Blu-ray on December 3rd.
This animated film concludes the faithful film adaptation of author Alan Moore and illustrator Dave Gibbons’ groundbreaking graphic novel series that redefined the superhero genre when it debuted in the mid-1980s.
Watchmen Chapter I and Watchmen Chapter II delve into the gritty and complex world of masked vigilantes in an alternate version of Cold War America. The “Watchmen” saga remains a cornerstone of comic book literature, winning numerous awards and honors over the decades.
This film adaptation captures the spirit and style of Moore and Gibbons’ original groundbreaking vision with stunning animation that pays homage to the comics’ iconic visual style. The film also stars Matthew Rhys (TV’s Brothers & Sisters, The Americans, Perry Mason), Katee Sackhoff (TV’s Battlestar Galactica, Longmire, Mandarin Starring a stellar voice cast, including “Lorian”) and Titus Welliver (TV’s “The Lost Deadwood,” “Sons of Anarchy”).
The film was produced and directed by Brandon Vietti, based on the screenplay by J. Michael Straczynski. Jim Krieg and Cindy Rago will serve as producers, with Dave Gibbons serving as consulting producer. Sam Register, Larry Gordon and Lloyd Levin will serve as executive producers.
