Nintendo’s silly alarm clock will be available to everyone in March

Alarmo was Nintendo’s most important hardware announcement last year, and it will soon be available to a wider audience. Nintendo says the motion-tracking alarm clock will be available for purchase “in-store at participating retailers” in March, without requiring a Nintendo Switch Online subscription or a visit to a physical Nintendo Store.

Nintendo Alarm Clock was originally released in October 2024. It combines popular sound effects from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, and Pikmin 4 with motion sensors that can track when you roll over. This gives Alarmo basic sleep tracking functionality and a morning alarm that gets louder and louder and only stops when you actually sit down.

According to Engadget’s review, Alarmo is expensive at $100 and isn’t a particularly great sleep tracker. The alarm clock can only track one person at a time, so anyone you share your bed with won’t be able to access its most appealing features. But for those who aren’t into Nintendo nostalgia or have kids who are already fans, the clock is a cute way to start your morning routine.

In March, retailers will only carry Alarmo “while supplies last,” but by then, we hope die-hard Nintendo fans are already saving up for their next big purchase.
