Artist Nick Dragotta revealed in a thread today that the Absolute Batmobile is based on the Earthmover, specifically the Caterpillar 777. That’s not all. He made it clear that what we have seen so far is not even the final form.
The question then arises, what other forms could it take?
Dragotta’s sketches also reveal that his body is lowered, presumably to allow him to push heavy objects with a lower center of gravity.
So what other shapes could it take? Some fans might think of something that transforms into some kind of mecha, robot, or airplane, but I don’t think so. . An airplane would be too heavy with this much metal, and the overall design and appearance would not be suitable for a mech. No, it might become a siege tower.
Think of it this way. If Batman is all about blunt force tactics when he fights, why not make him a little taller so he can break into buildings and climb over walls?Plus, he can hit people on the other side of bridges a lot. I have an ax to wreak havoc.
What do you think it will look like in the end? Either way, Absolute Batman was a really great movie.
