So what is Let This One Be a Devil about?
In the early 1900s, Henry Norton returned to his family farm in the swampy pine barrens of southern New Jersey. One night, he encounters a strange predator wandering through the forest. This leads the young scholar to take part in a research project that uncovers the legend of Mother Leeds and the terrifying birth of the Jersey Devil in 1735.
“The legend of the Jersey Devil spans centuries and bridges the gap between the supernatural and cryptozoology in a unique way in American monster folklore,” Fox added. “With ‘Let This One Be a Devil,’ we seek to tell the definitive story of the Jersey Devil, combining the original story with the many conflicting stories about this creature. Revealing the real identity that has been stalking the Pine Barrens for years. And like many cryptid animals, the story behind the Jersey Devil’s history can be just as fascinating as its vast mythology. It has been proven.”
