The incredible Hulk of Philip Kennedy Johnson and Nick Klein has revived the roots of Marvel’s monster Hollol. This November, the duo unleash the most frightening creations in the Hulk of Hell. I was teased from yesterday, so there are new details about the renewal kickoff on November 26th.
Spinning directly from the incredible Hulk #30 in October, the story begins after a brutal rematch with Hulk’s eldest son, the eldest son of Horrors. The victorious eldest son grabs Hulk’s body control and transforms into an unstoppable “Hulk of Hell,” setting fire to a new era of monsters that threaten the entire Marvel universe. Their goal: plunge the world into ancient horrors by turning the heroes of Earth into nightmare creatures. Meanwhile, the helpless but fixed Blues Banner stops nothing to defeat them.
“I have promised that Hulk fans are the biggest and boldest change in the current situation in Hulk history, and that time is finally here,” Johnson said. “The next few issues with the incredible Hulk give fans all the answers they’ve been waiting for about their eldest son and their terrifying mother. And the Hulk of Hell is the scary new normal beginning not only for the Hulk series but the entire Marvel universe.”
The Hell Hulk, billed as the boldest change in the status quo in Hulk’s history, promises a bigger and more deadly threat than ever before. Johnson teases that Marvel’s universe horns don’t spare by the time this horror fuel magic saga ends.
“It was a dream to be working on the Hulk, whether it was ‘incredible’ and now ‘hell’ with Philip,” Klein said. “Philip is not only a great world builder and craftsman who put so much heart into this book, but through this he has become a wonderful friend and a great collaborator. The Hulk of Hell looks forward to the journey as always.
