Image Comics revealed that Gracie’s ghost came from Dawn Brown, an award-winning set designer and concept artist this September. Having worked on Star Wars: Skeleton Crew and Hunger Games, we can see WorldBuilding is her strength.

“The ghost of Gracie is like a fictional version of an event that actually happened to me, and I’ve always written this book for kids who don’t have an easy path,” Brown says. I did. “Whatever their challenge is, they’re not alone.”

Gracie’s ghost, with the help of the ghost of her guardian, weaves the heartwarming story of a quirky child navigating the dangerous landscapes of school and family life.

Portland, Oregon 02/10/2025 – Award-winning Star Wars: Skeleton Crew Set Designer, Hunger Games Movie Concept Artist, Nominated Manga artist Dawn Brown (Little Red Hot, Raver) is a world building and storytelling chop The original graphic novel, Gracie’s Ghost, was scheduled to be a hit on the shelf from image comics this September.

Gracie’s ghost, with the help of the ghost of her guardian, weaves the heartwarming story of a quirky child navigating the dangerous landscapes of school and family life.

Divided into short, self-contained stories relating to themes of brotherly rivalry, empathy and bullying, Gracie’s Ghost is a sweet and emotional book reminiscent of Calvin & Hobbes, The Girl and Grimm, Sheet.

“The ghost of Gracie is like a fictional version of an event that actually happened to me, and I’ve always written this book for kids who don’t have an easy path,” Brown says. I did. “Whatever their challenge is, they’re not alone.”

The perfect read for tweens and middle schoolers, Gracie’s ghosts fascinate readers who either felt a little more outsider or sought the advice of a good imaginary friend.

Gracie’s Ghost Original Graphic Novel (ISBN: 9781534331334) is a paperback format in a 6 x 9 inch trim size, available at local comic book shops on Wednesday, September 10th, and is available in independent bookstores, Amazon, Barnes & Nobl e, Books-A -Million, Indigo on Tuesday, September 23rd.

Gracie’s Ghost is also available on many digital platforms, including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play.
