Los Angeles, October 8, 2024 – After seven highly successful Kickstarter campaigns and a drool-worthy selection of creators, the ongoing GHOST Agents project is set to become the standard-bearer for exciting, art-driven comics. Established reputation. To date, writer/producer Rocco Jerome’s creative work page features the work of approximately 50 up-and-coming artists.
Now, they’re taking it to the next level by adding a living legend to their already impressive roster of art. In all of comics, only one artist brings the dangerous energy and pulsating excitement to his work like Ken Landgraf. The man who coined the term and defined the very concept of “outlaw comic” has made a career out of creating images that make viewers stop in their tracks and blow their hair out. He was respected by the Crows and worked with Perez to publish a book so shocking that it seemed like contraband.
Now, Landgraf has joined the burgeoning GHOST agent movement. In Ghost Agent: Mindmelt, Agent Donna Printis gets more than she bargained for on a night out at the infamous Studio 54. Also in Ghost Agent: Outlaw Nation, Donna teams up with Agent Max Almond to take on a pack of hippie femalewolves in Hellspawn. Ranch.
“It was an honor to draw the new issue of GHOST Agents,” says the legendary artist. “It’s great for me to team up with young people who bring so much energy and excitement to the project. They have a fresh perspective on things that I really like and I know We put all the storytelling tools into these action-packed pages.”
The love was clearly mutual, as Roco Jerome said of his experience with Landgraf comics. In it, Wolverine and Hercules get into a fight in a bar over a woman. I was eight years old at the time and never looked back. It is no exaggeration to say that this is a thrill. ”
“It’s great to team up with Roco Jerome. It’s always fun to work from his stories,” Landgraf added. “I kind of bounce ideas off of him and he lets me fly! And I love the psychedelic coloring by Meesimo. It adds to my line drawings in a really unique way. .”
Meesimo aka Christian Meesey is the secret weapon of this collaboration.
“I have so much fun coloring the work of underground legend Ken Landgraf,” says Measy. “His art bridges the gap between our reality and the weird, super-exciting alternate universe of the 1970s that perfectly matches the world of the GHOST agents. My goal has always been to color my work. The goal is to support him and create a powerful finish that shines through his unique line drawings.”
Rounding out the team in this new collaboration is modern pro wrestling legend Freya the Slayer. The statuesque star of Ohio Valley Wrestling, which airs weekly on Netflix’s The Wrestler and YouTube, brought Agent Donna Printis to life during a photo shoot with Matt Simpson. These books will feature Freya on the cover, as well as some searing interior shots that no one has ever seen before.
“The first time I saw the incomparable Freya of Suraya in action, I was blown away,” enthuses Ghost Agent writer and producer Jerome. “Years ago, I imagined Donna as this towering dark-haired Amazonian goddess, and some talented artists are bringing her to life within the pages of Ghost Agent. But , Freya is something else. She is a vivid embodiment of the character.”
GHOST Agents, published by Cosmic Lion Productions and problem-reported by its founder Eli Schwab, makes its long-awaited return to Kickstarter for this new campaign on October 8th. The brand currently includes the White Elephant Toyz Max Almond action figure, with more to come. This will be a Donna Printiss figure available as an add-on to this campaign. Some tiers also include a download of the “GHOST Agents Theme” by The Belfuries, as well as a sonosheet version of the song available as a separate add-on.
Fans can follow GHOST Agents: Mindmelt and support the campaign.
