Meta wants to make it easy for creators to make money on Facebook.

Meta integrates three creator monetization programs for Facebook, making it easy for users to earn money on the social network. The company offers three ways for creators to earn money on their websites: in-stream ads, ads on Reels, and performance bonuses. Each has different eligibility requirements and sign-up processes. The new Facebook Content Monetization Program simplifies things for creators who want to make money with their websites by requiring only one application and one-time onboarding process.

Meta said in its announcement that it has paid out more than $2 billion to creators for Reels, videos, photos and text posts in the past year. But he also said creators aren’t making the most of what they can create on the platform, with only a third making money from multiple programs. This integrated scheme works similarly to previous programs in that it employs an outcome-based payment model. Monetized users can continue to earn money from ads, long-form videos, photos, and text posts in Reels. However, with Meta you will have access to a new (insights) tab that shows you how much money you are making with different content formats. You can also see which videos and posts are generating the most revenue. Previously, the company had separate Insights tabs for each program.

The new monetization feature is still in beta and will be valid until next year. This week, Meta will begin inviting the 1 million creators who already make money on the social network to participate in the beta test, and will continue to extend invitations to more people in the coming months. Creators don’t have to participate in the test if they don’t want to, but if they do, they can’t rejoin Facebook’s standalone monetization scheme. Those who do not receive an invitation right away but would like to participate in the new program can express their interest through Facebook’s official content monetization page.
