Amp® Comics, a new creator-focused indie comic label, is scheduled to be released in comic book shops nationwide in April. Bringing together both publishing and entertainment veterans, this brand new publisher moves forward with a shared vision of a sustainable, creator-driven publishing model. AMP Comics aims to benefit both creators and readers alike by prioritizing quality, transparency, and creator satisfaction. It will also prioritize timely loyalty statements and payments, making it available to retailers through Lunar Distribution’s large indie initiative, as well as Diamond Comic Distributors and Universal Distribution.

The new publisher is already open. It has secured a first look contract with the board game giants, offering the first opportunity to create a game based on AMP books. Additionally, AMP is currently the official publisher of the Script2Comic contest, and the 2024 winner’s work is funded in partnership with Kodansha Japan, the Powerhouse Manga Publisher behind the attack on Titan, like Akira. It will be provided and published. If that’s not enough, AMP has also published Mc Foley’s Lovestruck. It has already been featured for development as a television series by Ryan Reynolds’ production company Maximing. AMP is also the official publisher of Chispa Comics. It is the world’s first dedicated Latinx comic publisher led by comic veterans David Bowles (Clockwork Curandera) and Hector Rodriguez III (El Peso Hero).

AMP has released 11 epic series Neverwars from Thunder Comics on Comicspro. That’s another way of looking at storytelling. This is the premise:

The magical realms of Wonderland, Oz and Neverland are plunging into a devastating war that spans the world and generations. Jabberwock’s twisted magic turns into good and evil, turning his beloved childhood into a shadow of his original self. In Neverwar, the heroes we grew up with must tackle the fear of conflict, the loss of innocence, and the battle to protect hope.

Told through three uniquely illustrated and completely clear initial questions, Neverwars invites readers to experience this epic story from multiple perspectives. Readers can choose from three different character stories that enter Neverworld. Dorothy Gale is now a World War I nurse at the forefront of World War I, facing the horror of battle and a return to Oz. A stuffed rabbit leads him into wonderland and discovers his grandmother Alice, Georgie Bird, a young British recruit, is transformed into a red queen by the evil spell of Jabberwok. Or just to soar up with Petrupunne, a German flying circus spotter who crashed in Neverland, and realize he can’t fly in a world torn apart by war.

AMP® will also be revealing the entire Thunder Comics Slate and will lead alongside Prodigal Son, a cowboy saga co-authored by Cobra Kai Star Martin Kove. Collect the series (“good, bad, or ugh”) or all three. Prodigal was picked up for television development by former Sony TV head Jeff Frost through his Bristol Circle Banner.

The main amp comic as CEO is Don Handfield, a veteran comic creator (dark age, sauce, unicorn), and his first book, “The Rift is Steven Spielberg’s for the reboot of Apple+’s amazing storylines. He adapted to television. Handfield is also a film producer (founder, murder the messenger) and television creator (Nightfall). His extensive entertainment industry experience has led to his role as a partner for comic financier Thunder. and his role as a former board member of Scout Comics puts the amp comic in a unique position to guide board games, video games, films, television and other media.

Handfield State:

“We designed the amplifiers to avoid the industry pitfalls we all encountered. The mission of this incredibly talented team creates a space for creators to thrive and creates their stories. It’s about being able to be released to the market with the respect that is worthy of.

Joining Handfield is Joshua Sturnes, the founding partner of the Red 5 comics (Dark Age, Afterburn, Machine Girl), who serves as president. Meanwhile, David Byrne, creator of indie hit stakes and former co-publisher of scout comics, will oversee release and development strategies as a publisher. Joshua Malkin will serve as editor-in-chief, and Ishan Kamals will serve as creative executive.
