If you’re a college student, you can get a Max subscription at half the price of other US subscribers. The streaming service is bringing back a student discount promotion it offered in July: if UNiDAYS can verify your status as a college student, you can get Max (with ads) for just $5 per month instead of $10. If you don’t already have a UNiDAYS account, it’s free and easy to sign up to take advantage of this great deal and promotional offers from other companies, including Apple, Microsoft, and Uber Eats. After Max verifies your status, you’ll be issued a discount code that you can redeem for a discounted subscription.

$5 at HBO
Formerly known as HBO Max, this streaming service offers classic HBO series and new HBO titles made for streaming. You can watch HBO originals like The Last of US, House of the Dragon, and Euphoria. You can also stream older titles offered on the service like Friends, South Park, and Rick and Morty. Of course, you can also watch all of the company’s movies, including Dune and Barbie.
Max will continue to charge you the same amount as long as you’re a student; however, you’ll need to reverify your status every 12 months, so you’ll eventually lose access to the discount. Of course, if you don’t want to watch shows and movies with commercials, you can get an ad-free version of Max for $17 per month. The more expensive Ultimate Ad Free version costs $21 per month, but it lets you stream on four devices simultaneously instead of two, download 100 instead of 30 for offline viewing, and stream in 4K UHD, Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision, and HDR 10 on select titles.
