In the new era of Star Wars Marvel Comics, the mainline series will earn a new #1 spot on May 7th. Written by Alex Segura and art by Phil Noto, this bold new direction for the Star Wars franchise takes place after Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Marvel’s Star Wars series has been telling stories from this era for months now, and now the mainline books are returning with new numbering.
This new era follows Luke’s early challenge to restore the Jedi Order to Leia and Han’s continued romance that led to the creation of Kylo Ren, and this new narrative landscape is set in motion by Marvel’s star -What I would call the most revelatory contribution to the Wars mythology to date.
“Now that the Battle of Jakku brings the end of the Galactic Civil War to a close, we can rapidly move forward into a new era of unknowns, with new galactic threats, enemies, and mysteries confronting our beloved heroes. “It’s a blend of the familiar and the new and shocking,” Segura told StarWars.com. “These stories are packed with the action and character moments that Star Wars fans have come to expect, and are inspired by the galaxy as we know it, with the goal of making it easy for people to get involved in any issue. I can’t wait.”
So what will happen to Star Wars in 2025?
