Ahead of 8 Death of Spider-Man, which begins in November, Marvel Comics has unveiled an alternate cover to celebrate the new storyline. Written by Joe Kelly and illustrated by Ed McGuinness, the new epic will feature a cover by Skottie Young and will see Spider-Man get killed off.

Please see the cover below.

NEW YORK, NY — September 23, 2024 — Joe Kelly and Ed McGuinness’ 8 DEATHS OF SPIDER-MAN will begin in November with AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #61. To celebrate this new Spider-Man epic, superstar artist Skottie Young will deliver instantly iconic variant covers for each of the ten-part series. In Young’s unmistakable style, these eye-catching covers microminiature Spider-Man and spotlight the different ways he kills spiders.

8 DEATHS OF SPIDER-MAN begins with Doctor Doom, now the Sorcerer Supreme, ordering Spider-Man to face off against the descendants of Cyttorak, a mystical, god-like entity who is beyond Spider-Man’s control. Luckily, Doom has given Spider-Man a suit with new magical powers and eight lives to save the world – and he’s going to need all of them.

Check out Young’s first three 8 DEATHS OF SPIDER-MAN covers below, and stay tuned for more covers to be revealed in the coming months. For more information, visit Marvel.com.
