Dynamite Entertainment is reclaiming Disney’s villain line with a cold new chapter starring one of Disney’s most iconic antagonists, Maleficent. Disney villain: Maleficent, released this October, marks the magician’s return on the set of the story, shortly after the infamous curse in Princess Aurora.

This new story follows Queen of the Forbidden Mountain as she attempts to amplify her dark powers and eliminate any threats to her rule. As her goblin minions reclaim the ancient grimoire that shines from the assault, Maleficent sees an opportunity to unleash an infinite source of magic. However, in order to exploit this power, she must leave her fortress and travel to mysterious and dangerous lands where danger lurks every time. And few people survive the journey.

The series is written by Paulina Ganucheaau (The Powerpuff Girls) and portrayed by Theo Stultz, who made her Dynamite debut and won the Ignatz Award. Together, they bring a mysterious tone of Gothic style to the latest adventures of their beloved villains.

“Maleficent is the ultimate Disney villain,” Ganuchi said. “She’s not evil in her attitude, and her medieval blend of magic and mythology really makes her timeless. It’s an honor to help her expand her legend along with the talented Theo Stolz.

The creative duo offers variant covers to the series, joined by artists Elary Santos and Robert Quinn, offering Maleficent an unforgettable visual take with all her evil glory.

This series follows Soo Lee by Dynamite’s highly acclaimed Malefut Malefutent Run.

Whether you’re a fan of all evil mistress’ lifetimes or whether you’re diving into her world for the first time, Disney’s Villain: Maleficent #1 promises a creepy, magical adventure that delves deeper into what makes one of Disney’s most memorable villains. Don’t miss out on October this year!
