Image Comics’ new and ongoing series Loss Fantasy will appear on the shelves on April 30, 2025, giving readers the opportunity to experience the unique take of high fantasy for the first time. It also has a very large sword.
The series by creators Kurt Pier (Indigo Children), Luca Casarangida (James Bond), Mark Dale and Mica Myers combine some kind of violence and mythology killing children in the epic structure of the West. For over 100 years, our world has been in contact with another world. Most of the time, great hunters have kept us safe from the creatures hiding in the shadows. Lost Fantasy follows Monster Hunter Henry Blackheart and his quest to stop the newly broken one.
To celebrate this new ongoing launch, Beat learned that the first issue of the lost fantasy features a series of “huge f*cking swords” homage covers, paying homage to one of the biggest weapons ever devised. These covers, across media and genres, nod to all the different traits, are all portrayed by Indigo Children’s co-creator Alex Diotto.
