James Tynion IV’s Tiny Onion Banner is working on big apples in a big way. The studio has announced that it will be taking part in a handful of panels at this year’s New York Comic Con, featuring some of the publisher’s most popular titles. Notably, the truth and exquisite corpses each share a spotlight.

“New York Comic Con is not only our home show, it has become a show celebrating what we did and where we are heading,” he said in a press release. “We look forward to unveiling what little onion has on our sleeves.”

The Truth Ministry’s 5th Anniversary Panel will be held at 1C03 on Thursday, October 9th from 11:15am. A live play session of the exquisite corpse trading card game will be held on Friday evening at Room 408. The complete panel information is shown below.

Thursday 10/9
Celebrating the 5 years of the Ministry of Truth
Time: 11:15am – 12:15pm
Location: 1C03

Now, more than ever, the Ministry of Truth is read as if it’s not fictional and no plot is revealed. Joining author James Tinion IV and artist Martin Simmons, we talk about what the first five years of the series and the next five years will look like. This panel is a celebration of the bestselling science fiction series produced by Tiny Onion and published by Image Comics.

Friday 10/10
Exquisite corpses: Games (live play and panels)
Time: 5:15pm – 6pm
Location: 408

Author James Tinion IV, co-creator of Exquisite Corps, and artist Michael Walsh will be joined by production Courtney Menard’s little Onion Director and production manager Deena Avila, along with live demonstrations of exquisite corpse TCG and discussions about what it’s like to build a game. Fans can play the early version with game cards collected from the polybagged variant edition of the cartoon. He was hosted by Hector Navarro.

Saturday 10/11
Layer by layer: Build small onions
Time: 1:45pm to 2:45pm
Location: 1C03

James Tynion IV and members of the Tiny Onion team – moderator/community and event manager Harley Salbacka, director of production courtney menard and director of communications Jazzlyn Stone, revealed how the company was built and is in the reservoir for the future. Tynion and Crew discuss how it was like working together as a team and going on a path to success with a bestselling comic like an exquisite corpse. From the start of Tynion’s career to building a company from scratch, the horror master and his colleagues have said it all!

Sunday 10/12
The horror and joy of strange horror comics
Time: 11:15am – 12:15pm
Location: 1C03

From classic monster movies like Frankenstein’s Bride to modern hits like Babadok and Matter, horror has long been loved by the queer community. Join creators Tate Brombal (Everything Dead & Dying), Soo Lee (Carmilla), Che Grayson (Exquisite Corpses), and Tiny Onion Talent Manager Greg Lockard (Liebestrasse) to chat about this fan’s delicious onion panel about their favorite queer media and LGBTQIA+ horror works. It was hosted by Sami Demonster.

“New York Comic Con is our home show and we’re giving it all!” added the Tiny Onion community, event manager, Harley Salbacka. “This year we have more signatures, more exclusive, new products, etc. I want everyone who comes to our booth to feel the same excitement we feel by being there.

In addition to a total of four panels, the small onions will have a booth on the show floor where they will hand out new editions of small onion presents. Tiny Onion creators attending this year’s convention include Adam Gorham, Becca Carey, Che Grayson, Michael Walsh, Pornsak Pichetshote, Tyler Boss and collaborators Jenny Frison (Cover Art), Joshua Hixson (The Deviant, Stuth: Dracto of Truth), Lee (The Life of the Strange Pedestrian Christopher Chaos), Tate Blombar (A House of Genocide, Everything is Dead and Death), and Werter del Edera (Something Kills a Child).
