Updated October 17, 2024, 11:05 a.m. ET: Amazon has increased the price of the 55-inch model by $100, bringing the final price to $1,297. While it’s not as cheap as it was just a few hours ago, it’s still about $500 off the original price, which is a pretty good deal.
I don’t know about you, but I’m going to be spending most of the next few cold months sitting on the couch watching TV (with a few books thrown in). The only thing I’m missing is a really good TV. I’m planning on going with something more budget-friendly, but I’m tempted by the sale on LG’s C3 series OLED TVs. The 55-inch model is currently marked down from $1,800 to $1,197, a 34% discount. The lowest-priced version ever is not the only one on sale, with the 42-inch option reduced from $1,197 to $997.
LG released the C3 series as a mid-range OLED option last year. α9 AI Processor Gen6 provides HDR tone mapping, AI upscaling, and object-based image sharpening. The TV also has a brightness booster that makes it easier to watch in relatively sunny rooms, although it’s not quite up to the level of some competitors.

If you want the latest model, check out LG’s C4 OLED series. The 2024 release is also on sale, with the 55-inch version reduced from $2,000 to $1,297. This is the same 35% discount we saw recently on Prime Day. The C4 TV offers around 1,000 nits of brightness and a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz. This model also connects wirelessly to the LG soundbar, so no complicated cables are required.
