LG plans to bring a lamp to CES 2025 that can also be used as a small garden. This “indoor gardening appliance” is designed for apartment dwellers and those who don’t have access to the benefits of homegrown produce in their backyards.
During the day, a lamp with a circular lampshade illuminates the plants you want to grow with LED light at five different intensities, according to LG. And at night, the light turns upwards, creating a cozy atmosphere in any room you place the lamp in. If you prefer something more compact and armchair height, LG also has a side table sized version.

According to LG, this tall standing lamp can hold up to 20 plants at once, and the entire setup is height-adjustable to accommodate larger leafy vegetables or smaller herbs and flowers. can. But the real beauty of LG’s design is that you don’t have to worry about watering it. The base of the lamp has a built-in 1.5-gallon tank that allows you to disperse just the right amount of liquid for whatever you plant. Both lamps connect to LG’s ThinQ app, so you can adjust lighting and watering schedules remotely.
LG announced the previous version of its indoor gardening tool, LG Tiiun, at CES 2022. The large refrigerator-shaped appliance could also automatically grow and water plants, but it was far less aesthetically pleasing than the company’s new lamps. With all its features, LG’s new lamp is actually one Sonos speaker away from becoming the ultimate living room appliance. At least until tech companies find another use for the lamp.
LG’s new indoor gardening appliances don’t have a release date or official price, but we expect the company to share more details once CES 2025 officially starts.
