Instead, Lenovo has made some small tweaks to the handheld’s ergonomics, including a more rounded grip and tapered sides, and a new circular D-pad, as opposed to the cross-shaped components used in previous models. It seems to be focused on doing.

In addition, Lenovo is offering early (but still Shared some specifications (not finalized). This should result in a noticeable increase in overall performance, while its 8.8-inch OLED display is expected to have roughly similar specs, including 500 nits of brightness and a 144Hz refresh rate.

However, there are two important changes to the screen. The first is a slightly lower resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 (down from 2,560 x 1,600), which may seem like an odd downgrade. But for a display of this size, the Legion Go 2’s new resolution should result in improved overall performance, especially when combined with the mobile APU. The second important upgrade is the addition of VRR. This will allow you to more easily adjust your screen to match the frame rate of whatever you’re playing.

Finally, as before, Legion Go 2 will be based on Windows 11, which is one thing I think Lenovo should reconsider. After seeing the early success of the Legion Go S with SteamOS, we think it’s a smart move to offer support for the Valve platform alongside the standard Windows model.

Unfortunately, Lenovo hasn’t announced the official pricing for the Legion Go 2 yet, but we expect it to be about the same price as the original model at launch, around $800. There’s also nothing concrete about a release date, but the company said it’s preparing to “bring this exciting innovation to gamers around the world in 2025.”
