In 2022, writer Jeff Lemia and artist Dustin Nuguen teamed up for Robin & Batman, the third miniseries that immerse the boy in the earliest days of Dick Grayson as he wonders. Today, DC announced that the creative team will be reuniting their sequel miniseries about their second partner in the Dark Knight. Robin & Batman: Jason Todd shines a spotlight on Jason’s time as Robin when he and Batman take on the new villain in Gotham. The first issue of the 3rd issue series will arrive in June.

Here’s how DC explains Robin & Batman: Jason Todd:

Batman has a new Robin, Jason Todd. Jason is a rash-impulsive and reckless child with a troubled past that Batman was sure he could mold into Gotham’s next guardian. But can the Dark Knight save Jason Todd from his darkness? And when a mysterious new villain with white cloth and mysterious cloth puts his eyesight on Jason, Batman realizes he has what he needs to train his anger and suffering from his new young ward.

Jason Todd’s days, featured as a virtual carbon copy of Dick Grayson in 1983, was short but impactful. In 1987, following the events of a crisis on the Infinite Earth, Jason was given a new origin for a street-living orphan child who meets Batman after boosting his Batmobile tires. Despite both versions of the character, in 1988 he was notoriously murdered on fan orders during his death in the family storyline. (For a much more detailed look at Jason’s time as Robin, check out the oral history of the characters from creation to death.) With no two dozen stories featuring Jason after the crisis, the character’s age is rich in exploration.

Check out the variant covers of the first issue of Lemire, John McCrea, and Rafael Albukerque. Find Robin & Batman: Jason Todd #1 (of 3) arrives in store and digital on Wednesday, June 11th.
