The Thundercats comic book series will become the flagship title of Dynamite, with the creative team of Declan Shelvey and Drew Moss launching the series’ fourth story arc in Thundercats #16, introducing Thenights of Thundera.

“The first year I brought Thundercats back to cartoons, old fans and new ones were thrilling experiences,” said author Declan Shalvey. “It’s a privilege for me and establishing new myths for these characters in the comics portrayed Moss. I could see it accumulate in new and exciting connected series like the Silver Hawks and the Thundercats. Now the arenas for the series arenas are bigger and face greater challenges.

Written by Declan Shalvey and drawn by Drew Moss, Issue #16 covers a cover from a homage to the teenage mutant ninja turtles of Shalvey and Moss, Lucio Parrillo, Jae Lee & June Chung, Manix Abrera, and Ken Haeser.

Thundercats #16 will be in Focus on May 12th and will be participating in the shop on June 4th. This new story arc is a great jump for fans to become one of the most consistent comic series of 2024.

The traditional leader of Lion-O lacks motivation and motivates the cheetahra to step up and take the mantle. Calica is back with a mysterious new character from this series (first appeared in #2). Tygra created a new metal alloy that baptized Thundore and equipped the team with armored suits. This is the current necessary for Panthro to walk after being injured in Mumm-Ra’s hands. And when another unexpected character crashes the party in Bengali, tensions flare up, at the end the Thundercats from the companion series are lost.

Despite all these curveballs and uncertainties, the Thundercats begin a new era in a new home in Third Earth, establishing the Order of Thunderra, where more aggressive security forces hunt down and cripple the enemy. Each new knight is equipped with a terrifying new sword, matching all characterizations and existing fighting styles, designed by Drewmos along with new armor.

With their offensive and defensive abilities upgraded, the forces continue to clash and remain siege. The question remains, but will this new incarnation of the team handle what comes next?
