Marvel Comics is reviving the gods of Jonathan Hickman and Valerio City in one world under God: Doom on July 30, 2025. I’m not sure if anyone asked to return (please tell us in the comments what OG Gods thought was doing!), but I’m looking forward to seeing what writer Ryan North and artist Francesco Mortalino do with the characters featured in the original series.
It’s a fun series, but confused with God, the gods have confused our “Marvel Rundown” reviewers. Former contributor Cy Beltran has fully explained the series.
“The same,” George Carmona replied third. “I liked it, but if you put a gun on my head and ask me what it is, I’d be dead.”
I wonder if the series should mean that it’s good over a year later. Hickman and the City gods definitely impressed me, but in my circle it sparked some debate about autonomy and morality (although in my opinion, it’s always a good argument), but I don’t want to leave it confused after the first issue. Some conspiracy and unanswered questions, yes. It was totally obvious that something was about to say, my jam was low.

One of my unanswered questions from the series was how God’s characters fit into Marvel’s existing magical framework, and how the story interacts with other Marvel heroes. “I’ve also got lost,” I wrote. “But I’ve noticed that the elders’ things. I think dreams could be tied to existing Marvel magic. As expected, I don’t like living court staff. (For context, here, as an expert on Wanda and Doom, I was explicitly asked about how it fits into Marvel Magic. Don’t start the visual representation of Wanda’s magic over the years.
As the powers of Wanda and Doom are closely linked in the manga, it will be interesting to see how the magic introduced into the gods is explored in this one-shot. Gods: On July 30, 2025, One World under Doom arrives at a local manga store.

In a new era of Marvel comic storytelling ruled by DoomDoom, one world under Doom is fully underway with various tie-in issues, both in the core series by event architect Ryan North and superstar artist RB Silva. This July, North is working with acclaimed artist Franci Mortalino (Fantastic Four) to work with a pivotal bond one-shot that uncovers the impact of Doom’s takeover on the universe hierarchy of the Gods.
God: The world beneath Doom explores further the transformational concepts introduced into the gods by the visionary creators Jonathan Hickman and Valerio City. Learn more about the rules of Doom and how the mystical factions behind the very building blocks of reality work in dealing with the threats to the omnipotent power they serve!
Using a combination of science and magic, Doom Doom took over the world. This means that the only avatar of wyn (the magic god) – is interested in how this happened and how to stop it. His sworn in Mia DiMaria – a college-age woman disillusioned with most magic, some science, and undoubtedly all of her work – brings in and finds herself at the heart of a crisis that could soon affect the planet for the coming generation. And at worst, Dr. Victor von Doom believes that Mia is likely, especially if she is freed from Winn’s control. Doom offers freedom, but every gift from Doom costs money… Science and magic collide with this oversized one-shot that brings the world of God to the heart of Marvel’s universe! And if you don’t know the world of God yet, this is the book for you: it is accessible and apocalyptic.
“I think it’s absolutely a fool’s way to follow Jonathan Hickman, whom he personally invented, in the horns of Marvel’s universe, but the gods are so much fun. And we have the opportunity to see where Mia and Wynn are after their stories. Mia isn’t having a great time, but Emperor Doom sees something in her…”
Schiti returns to the character he co-created in the main cover in question. Check it out and pre-order the gods: One world of Doom #1 at the local comic shop today. Later this week, take a look at one more world under Doom News. For more information, please visit marvel.com.
