Marvel has announced that industry legend Jeff Loeb is back to write a revelation backup story for a huge sized apocalypse. Of course, Loeb was famous as both a comic and a scriptwriter, and worked as one of the architects of the original era of the Apocalypse storyline. He is currently writing Batman: Hush 2 (known as H2SH), which is highly sold out, and his return to comics is completely shaking the industry.

“In 1995, I was very fortunate to attack X-Men in Age of Apocalypse and be one of the biggest stories to write both the incredible X-Men and X-Man and hit X-Men,” Loeb returned to the X world.

Kick-off this May, the giant sized apocalypse emphasizes celebrating the 50th anniversary of the giant sized X-Men. This continues to feature important moments as we see Kamala Khan taking place right after the massively sized dark phoenix saga. It is written by Colin Kelly as Art for Jackson Lanceing and CF Villas.

For more information, please see the official Marvel press release below.

For 50 years, the giant sized X-Men #1 of Len Wine and Dave Cockrum has existed as one of the most important moments in Marvel comic history, recreating the X-Men forever. Starting in May, Marvel will be holding Eisner Award-winning author Jeffrove, Architect behind Apocalypse and Super Tim Sim Me Me Me Me Me Me Me Me Me Me Me Me Me Me Me Me Me Me!

Beyond the 5th anniversary one-shot, the Revelation Backup Stories reveal the hidden lore behind each story, organizing exciting current developments coming in the near future. In Apocalypse #1 of Huge Size, Robe returns to the iconic dystopian future that he helped create! Age of Apocalypse pioneered the X-Men to its core in the 90s. And now, one of the era’s most prolific creators is back and rekindling a groundbreaking storyline in time for its own major milestone anniversary!

What if these key moments hold a deeper secret? What happens if the past is not set to stone? Huge-sized X-Men #1, Dark Phoenix Saga, Age of Apocalypse, and acclaimed Xscribes Collin and Jackson Lanzing and famous artists Adam Kubert, Rod Reis, Cf Villa, Moth!

At this event, we see Marvel being drawn into the distant past by an unstable, unlocked legion! Confined to battle throughout his time with Omega-level mutants, Kamala Khan is only in the way of an eternally distorted history of the X-Men! Following the giant-sized X-Men #1 and the giant-sized Dark Phoenix #1, Kamara is stuck in all the darkest futures of the huge-sized age of Apocalypse #1! What’s worse, it’s only a few hours from the inevitable end. If Kamala can’t find the rest of the X-Men, she will be burned in the nuclear hell fire. The original enemies must learn to rely on each other as they travel through burnt bones and broken promised lands… But is Legion really reliable? And how far does Rogue go to teach Kamala the true meaning of mutant identity? Welcome to the Apocalypse era – No one survives the experience!
