There’s never been a better time to be a horror fan, especially in the world of comics. A great example of this is IDW Dark, a great book of horror prints from IDW. As announced earlier this year, the publisher added “The Twilight Zone” to the colophon. Similar to the original Rod Serling anthology television series, this five-issue comic book series features standalone stories drawn in black and white by a variety of top-talent comic book creators.
The Beat is proud to exclusively reveal the preview page for The Twilight Zone #3, which will be released on January 7, 2026. In this issue, comics creator James Stokoe takes on the role of both writer and artist, bringing his unmistakable art style to the story.

This all-new Twilight Zone anthology series continues independent stories from some of the greatest creators in comics today. Each issue is a fresh story in the vein of the iconic original television series that has captivated audiences for more than 60 years. And just like the show, these stories are revealed in gruesome black and white.
This problem: There is a war going on somewhere. Two civilizations, each believing themselves to be at the pinnacle of power, battle over a sacred relic whose role and origins are beyond comprehension. With an army of dedicated knights guarding the item, and hordes of eager barbarians coveting it, neither side will give an inch to the other. But even for those sustained by faith, all is not as it seems…in the Twilight Zone!
Dynamic writer/artist James Stockoe (Godzilla, The Orphan) delivers the most action-packed Twilight Zone story yet.
