Long-established solar company Jackery is taking the U.S. roofing market to the next level with the introduction of its XBC curved solar roof shingles. Debuting at CES 2025, Jackery’s curved solar roof tiles are available in terra cotta or obsidian and are designed to match some of the most common home styles in the country. Solar shingles certainly already exist in the United States, but this is the first one with the wavy aesthetic. Looks like HOA presidents everywhere have yet another excuse to block rooftop solar installations.

The new tiles deliver cell conversion efficiencies of more than 25% and are built to withstand extreme weather conditions such as hail, high winds, and temperatures from -40°F to 185°F. These are designed along traditional tiles. A roof installation method featuring a modular setup that allows for flexible, staged maintenance. Jackery also offers a 30-year warranty on its tiles.
The Jackery Solar Roof system integrates with the company’s existing home solar power solutions, including the HomePower Inverter, Battery, Hub and Hub Plus, Solar Generator 5000 Plus, and Smart Transfer Switch Kit.
Jackery was heavily highlighting this tile at CES 2025, but there’s no word yet on specific pricing or availability for the new tile. Founded in Silicon Valley in 2012, Jackery is one of the leading companies in portable generators and all products. Home solar kits are a market that is becoming more accessible each year.
