It’s here! The Steam Winter Sale is currently live and will run until January 2nd. That leaves you with plenty of time to internally debate whether you really need to buy more games, and eventually convince yourself that you actually do.
Several notable titles from the Summer Sale are receiving similar discounts this season. Baldur’s Gate 3 is 20% off and available for $48. Cyberpunk 2077 is half price at $27, and Elden Ring is 40% off at $36.
If you’re already enjoying Elden Ring, you can get 40% off on another Souls-like offering. Lies of P is a dark recreation of the Pinocchio fairy tale with familiar gameplay and is available for $36. No Man’s Sky also has a 60% discount and still receives regular content patches. Soar into the infinite universe for just $24. Another big bonus is the original Cities: Skylines. It’s a calmer, more stable experience compared to the game’s troubled sequels. Simulators are 70% off and only $9.
Steam sales are always a great time to stock up on indie hits. Here at Engadget, we’re obsessed with Baratro, where you can save $1 with just 10% off. But there are also many more expensive deals. The cat-focused Stray costs $18, while Cult of the Lamb lets you play more sinister creatures for less than $13. For $14, you can fish and reel to your heart’s content with the quirky Dave the Diver. Slay the Spire is just over $6, and perennial favorite Stardew Valley is down to $8.
Up to 90% off on many classic titles. The great first-person shooter Titanfall 2 costs just $3. Play Nuclear Development in Fallout 4 for $8. All three games in Mass Effect Legendary Edition can be yours for just $5. Divinity Original Sin, the expansive RPG that helped Larian Studios prove they were the right team to make Baldur’s Gate 3, costs $4.
This is just a taste of what’s included in this season’s Steam sale. Take a look at your wishlist to see what else you’d like to buy. Have a great vacation!
