Marvel has released a new trailer for the upcoming relaunch of Iron Man #1. Written by Pulitzer Prize-winning Spencer Ackerman, drawn by Julius Ohta, and colored by Alex Sinclair, this new Iron Man returns angrier and edgier than ever.
Picking up right after Tony Stark lost everything and his marriage to Emma Frost ended, this new “Instant Iron Man” finds Tony struggling to reinvent himself, building brand new toys and leveling up again to his old self.
“Tony’s in full survival mode from the beginning, right down to the armor that Iron Man is wearing,” Ackerman explained to ComicBook.com. “The stakes start off really high and then they escalate from there. A big theme in this series is scale — the pursuit of scale, the maintenance of scale, the cost of it. We’ve seen Tony cross some very serious moral lines in the past, and now we’re going to expand on that.”
