Inklore teased something special on October 9th with a strange spiral icon. It turns out the publisher is partnering with Tiny Onion and founder James Tynion IV to launch a new graphic novel program. The program will feature 12 books, consisting of three original graphic novel series.
“I spend a lot of time thinking about the right location for each project, and over the years I’ve stuck with some of my favorites, letting the world cook out into incredibly vibrant places and ,” Tynion said. “With Inklore, we have found the perfect partner to bring these new worlds to the printed page.”
Tynion is best known as the co-creator of Something is Killing the Children, The Department of Truth, and The Nice House on the Lake. In February 2024, he announced the creation of a new production studio called Tiny Onion, with an autonomous full-service editorial and design team. The studio’s goal is to identify and elevate creative partners and help them curate and package titles before offering them to publishing partners.
“The Most Beautiful People Who Never Loved Me” kicks off the program and is scheduled for release in 2028. This is the story of a magician whose revolutionary performances brought him great professional success at great personal cost. This is the first volume of three volumes.
Inklore Editorial Director Rebecca “Tay” Taylor expressed great excitement about this collaboration. “James’ characters and their relationships with each other always drive his stories, no matter the genre. We hope Inklore readers lose themselves in the heartbreak, propulsiveness, and joy of what Tiny Onion has in store. I can’t wait to see it.”
Inklore is a similarly new publisher that launched in June 2023. This publisher specializes in publishing licensed and original manga, comics, manga, webcomics, and graphic novels.
