Image Comics shares details surrounding the nightly animated television show under development at Titmouse. This is a comic that Aipt calls “a gift that continues to give.”
Knight is a supernatural coming-of-age story centered around a group of friends navigating life, relationships, and mystical paranormal events. This adaptation was created in collaboration with Kennedy and Formisano, and realizes a unique vision through Titmouse’s well-known animation style and expertise.
“I’m not the type of manga that reads at night and says, “decent, cool art, good stories.” And then back on the shelf with all the other cartoons with cool art and good stories. “We’ve been working hard to get the most out of our business,” said Alexei Bochenek, creative director at Titmouse. “Reading it reminds me of when I was up late when I saw FLCL in the middle of the night in Toonami. Bad, dreams and fear. If you know, you know. Feelings, I want to go back to animation fans like me who have been following ever since, and introduce to a whole new audience the experience of discovering themselves through a new show of seeing them and becoming a huge champion. That’s the night.”
Stay tuned to the AIPT Comics podcast this Sunday. There is a creative team discussing the series.
Kennedy added: Luigi and my love for animation are burnt into the very fibers of the book, and it’s amazing how the legendary and incredibly talented team of Titmouse helps make it happen . From our early conversations, Alexei and his team quickly understand the soul of our strange little story, and their passionate co-working spirit makes us love books and new fans alike. I’m sure I’m building something.
