Earlier this year, Titan Manga announced that it would be publishing the sci-fi adventure Geniearth by Rensuke Oshikiri, the author of High Score Girl, in English. Volume 1 will be available in bookstores, comic shops, and digital platforms on April 14, 2026, and is available for pre-order now for $12.99.
Oshikiri, known for his dark and action-packed storytelling in Kurozuka and Tokyo Zombie, launched Genius in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shonen Champion magazine in September 2021, and the series ran until July 2022. The series combines action and social theory to explore humanity’s power struggles. The first volume of the series introduces readers to the story’s two factions in a struggle for survival.

p style=”padding-left: 40px”> In a world divided by power, Geniearth takes you on a high-stakes sci-fi adventure where society is torn apart by a new genetic phenomenon. Genes appear, giving one in a thousand people amazing abilities, and the “new humans”, or “geniuses”, declare themselves superior to the “old humans”. The genius Fuwakatsu leads a violent rebellion, sparking a brutal civil war that threatens to wipe out the Earth. Amidst the chaos, mysterious “old humans” with an air of mystery appear and may become the only hope to end the conflict and save the world.
Oshikiri is known for the manga series “High Score Girl,” which was serialized in Square Enix’s Monthly Big Gangan from 2010 to 2018, and the English version of the series was also published by the same publisher shortly thereafter. The anime adaptation premiered in Japan in July 2018, and the series was broadcast outside of Japan on Netflix in December 2018. In 2019, Oshikiri began serializing the manga spin-off “High Score Girl DASH” in Big Gangan. The main character of this series is Koharu Hidaka, a 30-year-old junior high school teacher.
