Marvel Comics announced the Imperial kicked off in June by authors Jonathan Hickman, Artists Federico Vicentini (Miles Morales: Spider-Man) and Iban Coello (Venom War). The series, a saga of the universe, redefines the current state of the Hulk family, Black Panther, and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Imperial #1 cover by Marco Check Chet

Imperial follows the elimination of some of its most prominent leaders and finds a galaxy of the Marvel universe on the brink of major upheavals. Nature hates vacuum, empires fall, rulers overthrow, power is seized in stories of plot, mystery and war, everything happens against the backdrop of the formation of a new galactic order in Marvel’s universe. With groundbreaking developments of Hulks, Black Panther, Novas, Guardian, King of the Universe and Queen, Imperial lays the foundation for an entirely new landscape of interconnected space set stories, making it a must-see comic book for summer!

Unfamiliar with the Cosmic Marvel event, who wrote Infinity in 2013 and Secret Wars in 2015, Hickman said: The art team is killing it, and we are all very excited about what’s going on in this special horn in the Marvel universe. ”

Visennini, one of Marvel’s Stormbreaker artists, said: “Working with Hickman is a huge challenge. I love his script. He writes truly great dialogues and gives incredible attention to detail when it comes to setting up the story. I only knew Hickman as a reader, so it was incredible to be approached to work with him and Ivan, an incredible artist! I work hard to create my best work, and I certainly have a lot of fun!”

Corelo, who is also a stormbreaker, added: It’s really fun to create all these new characters and costumes. Working with Hickman is something I didn’t think I could do, and it’s cool, intimidating, at the same time overpowering, due to the magnitude of what he’s doing in the script. I look forward to being able to stand up to the challenge and do an amazing job! ”

Imperial #1 will be released on June 4th. Meanwhile, you can check out the Hulk Family and Star Road artist concepts in the series below.
