H2SH promises to rock the caped crusade into his core!

As previously announced, the superstar team of writers Jeff Loeb and Jim Lee will reunite next month on March 26th to continue the Hash Saga with a new storyline entitled “H2SH” on the Batman #158 page, available in the comic store.

Members of the original Hush Creative team will also be involved in this new storyline, including Inker Scott Williams, colorist Alex Sinclair and letter Richard Starking. DC has “H2SH” underneath a tight wrap, but the publisher has revealed a preview page from Batman #158 and has released a special trailer.

As fans know, the original Hush storyline introduced the new nominal mystery villain who tried to destroy the covered crusades through the ultimate masterplan. Hush’s Machinations was able to delve readers deep into the world of Batman and beyond, allowing Jim Lee to portray who is who in the Rogues Gallery of the Dark Knight in his typical style. In the end, it is finally revealed that Hash is actually Bruce Wayne’s childhood friend Tommy Elliott. Since then, the characters have appeared regularly over the years, tormenting the Dark Knight and even appearing in external media.

As Jim Lee said in an interview with THR, this Hush sequel is actually a two-part story, with the first part running from Batman #158 to Batman #163 in August. The final six issues will be released next year in 2026. The break is completely understandable given Lee’s incredibly busy schedule running DC in his duties as president, publisher and chief creative officer. Last week, on Comicspro, the publisher announced that the monthly regular Batman ongoing series will be rebooting under the new creative team of writer Matt Fraction and artist Jorge Jiménez. As both original Hush stories were featured in the main Batman book, as well as “H2SH”, it seems safe to assume a fraction, with Jiménez running for Loeb and Lee to finish the storyline.

In the meantime, enjoy the preview page for Batman #158.
