Air travel can be expensive, and you may not want to explore different options to find the best price. You just want the cheapest flight available and don’t care who’s offering it.
According to the official blog, Google has added this tab to its flight search engine to prioritize searches for flight schedules and only show the “cheapest” options available. So instead of looking at different rates and features, you can simply view the cheapest option available from your airline or third-party airline booking site.
This new feature is available for U.S. flights starting today. Google plans to roll out the Cheapest tab globally over the coming weeks.
The cheapest flight options often include what Google calls “creative itineraries,” including longer-than-usual layovers and self-transfer from plane to plane. What we call them cannot be reprinted here. These inconveniences that make your flight cheaper are now listed in one tab.
