The American Library Association Graphic Novels & Comic Round Table (GNCRT) has released its annual reading list and top 10 list of the best graphic novels of 2024 (BGNA). This list highlights the best graphic novels for adults published in late 2023-2024, making this often overlooked category (at least in libraries) more attention. It will help.
The best graphic novels for adults reading the list are made up of GNCRT members with a background for graphic novel selections and their use in adult programming and services. Selection Committee Chairman Leslie Flynn said, “When I chose the title for the 2024 list, I was honored to lead the committee. We are an exceptional player in creators from around the world, especially in this format. I’ve looked for a unique book from what I’m doing. I think this year’s list is great for everyone, regardless of your passion or experience in graphic novels.”

GNCRT President Shira Pilarski said of this year’s list: Whether you’re a manga reader or a Western graphic novel, or a fan of memoirs, science fiction, horror or classic retelling, you can find the next great read on this list. ”
