As previously announced, the long-awaited showdown between Transformers and GI Joe in the Energon Universe will finally take place next month. Today, Skybound announced a lineup of preview pages and variant covers for GI Joe #19. From the creative team of writer Joshua Williamson (Duke, Cobra Commander), artist Andrea Milana (Cobra Commander), colorist Lee Lowridge (Universal Monsters: The Mummy), and letterer Russ Wootton (Invincible Universe: Battle Beasts), the latest installment of the hit Energon Universe series will be available in comic shops on February 18, 2026.

The publisher explains this issue as follows:

When Duke learns that Clutch is hiding the Autobot Hound from the Joes, one question remains: Will anyone be able to stop Clutch from disposing of the Hound for good?

This issue collides the worlds of Transformers and GI Joe, leading perfectly to Optimus Prime and Duke’s first encounter in the Energon Universe in GI Joe #20.

In addition to the main cover by Tom Riley, GI JOE #19 will feature an open-to-order variant cover by Joshua Cassara and Romulo Fajardo Jr., an open-to-order variant cover by Ben Oliver, a 1:25 incentive variant by Tonci Zonjic, and a 1:50 incentive variant by Trevor Haresine, Andy Lanning, and Romulo Fajardo Jr. 1:100 incentive foil variant by Pye Parr and foil mask cover variant by John Amor and Andres Juarez.
