Black Friday may still be a few weeks away, but if you’re looking to score a deal on Samsung’s Music Frame, you don’t have to wait until Thanksgiving. Amazon and Samsung currently sell this speaker for under $250. The regular price is $400, but at $150 off the regular price, this is the lowest price ever for a music frame. Considering Samsung just released this device earlier this year, it’s a great time to buy one (or two) for your home theater.
If you’re not familiar with Music Frame, think of it as the speaker equivalent of Samsung’s popular Frame TV. Similar to the TV version, the music frame also serves as home decoration. And while there’s no display that automatically cycles through digital artwork, you can manually insert prints and photos. Additionally, while it is certainly possible to pair two Music Frames with a Frame TV, it is not limited to home theater use. The Music Frame works fine as a standalone Wi-Fi and Bluetooth speaker. It can also be used as a smart home hub. If desired, you can mount the Music Frame on a wall or table using the built-in stand.

As for sound quality, Engadget senior reporter and resident audiophile Billy Steele was surprised by how good the Music Frame sounded when he demoed it at CES earlier this year. “I was struck by how robust and clear the overall sound quality coming out of the speakers was,” he wrote at the time. “The treble and midrange are well-detailed and well-represented, and the bass is more restrained.” If you’re interested, the Music Frame has two rear-facing woofers, two tweeters and two midranges. It is complemented by a set of range drivers, four in total. It is fired from the front of the speaker. It also offers support for Dolby Atmos, and Samsung has included SpaceFit technology to help with room adjustments.
Overall, the Music Frame is a great option for anyone looking for a speaker that blends into their home décor, but its high price may make it less appealing, especially if you want a stereo pair. However, $150 off makes it much easier to recommend, even if you’re on a tight budget.
