Dynamite Entertainment has revealed one of the biggest launches of the year, Gargoyles/Fantastic Four. This November’s writer Greg Weisman and artist George Kambadais attacked the shelves. The series follows Marvel’s turn in the October crossover.
First teased in May, the crossover brings together two beloved franchises in a glove-shaking adventure. The Manhattan clan receives an unusual invitation to tour the legendary Baxterville, home to Marvel’s first family, but their visit quickly gets caught up in chaos. Coldsteel and Dragon Man form an alliance that is likely to unleash the destructive powers of Annihilus by trapping Franklin Richards, Valeria Richards and Gnash in the horrifying negative zone.
Their children, and at risk of the world, both mythological extended families must come together. It is the first time that Gargoyles’ universe has crossed into another franchise, and the battle promises that ancient stone guardians and space-driven heroes are fighting side by side.
“What would be better for Gargoyle’s first crossover than meeting the first family in the Marvel universe?” Greg Weissman said. “Shared Values, Super Viren… and the Mall Man!”
The creative team includes Gargoyles co-creator Greg Weisman and artist George Kambadais. His Gargoyles series has defined the character’s modern look since 2022. Jeff Eckleberry will be taking part in as a letter. A 30-storey page with an extra-large special feature, paired with a lineup of variant covers by Amanda Conner, Mark Bagley, Lucio Parrillo, Declan Shalvey and Nicoletta Baldari.
