Just in time for this summer release of Fantastic Four: First Steps, Marvel Comics has announced that the ongoing Fantastic Four series will resume with a new issue #1 this July. Ryan North continues to write comics, with artist Hambel Ramos joining for the new jump-on point.

The official summary is, “Their only hope (reunites and returns home) is to reach the eternal stone. It happens to be a dense granite mass, one of the longest-lasting rocks on Earth, which is ambiguous, and through a combination of raw geological fortunes, much of the history of the Earth has become unharmed and accessible.”
Also, North, under Marvel’s newly launched event series, One Doom, told the Hollywood Reporter:
Ben Grimm promises to fight dinosaurs, but “As much as this first story includes dinosaurs and time travel, it’s really about the depths of love between these four notable people and each other.
Ramos adds: “I was lucky enough to explain many of the most iconic superheroes in the universe, but this book felt different from the beginning. The weight of the history and legacy of these characters is on your shoulders, no matter who you are, and how you work in the industry.”
In the meantime, North’s first Fantastic Four Run (kick-off in 2023) will finish with issue 33 in June, with his and Ramos storyline appearing in the Fantastic Four/Giant-sized X-Men in the free Comic Day issue released on Saturday, May 3rd. (Undoubtedly, if Marvel hadn’t cancelled the comic before the release of the Fantastic Four film in 2015, that number would have been a little higher.)
Fantastic Four: First Step itself continues at the theater on July 25th.
