Image Comics has officially announced Exquisite Corpses #1, a 13-round, 13-round, one-year-old, season-in-going series by James Tynion IV and Michael Walsh. Each issue features Tynion and Walsh’s finest crafts in collaboration and competition with a roster of industry-leading talent. Each issue is built at the end in a true “exquisite corpse” style. Creators involved in this project include Adam Gorham (Hell Hunters), Becca Carrey (Absolute Wonder Woman), Choi Grayson (Dark Space: Good Deeds), Claire Law (Dark Space: Hollywood Special), and Gavin Fullerton ( Closet), Geordy Bellerey (Redlands), Marianna Ingazzi (Catwoman), Pornsak Pichetshote (The Good Asian), Tyler Boss (You Do Bad Things), and Valentine de Lando (Big Planet).

Each issue in this series will showcase variant cover artwork by some of the space’s most acclaimed artists, featuring covers such as Alex Eckman-Lawn, Jae Lee & June Chung, James Stokoe and Nimit Malavia.

Walsh added: “James and I have been friends from early in their respective careers, but we didn’t cooperate until they were firmly established and shaped by years of work in comics. Our first collaboration was the issue of silver coins. This issue was an instant critic and fan favorite, and I felt that our pacing and storytelling sensibilities were perfectly lined up. I was already about to work with James again. But when he approached me with the core of the idea of ​​becoming an exquisite corpse, I knew it would be something special. We flesh out the series in the comics I brought some of the brightest voices in. From there, things continue to grow.

Tiny Onion will also embark on a year-long national signature tour (Corpse Tour ’25). Each event will feature Tynion in a conversation with local Exquisite Corpses Creators, and sign a Q&A. Corpse Tour ’25 will begin with a release party in May.
