There’s something about the exquisite corpse that feels like a sleeper hit, but it has incredible characters and creators assigned to the ship. The final issue humanized two civilians while being forced into killing games and killed by many psychopaths and professional killers. As the cover reveals, exquisite corpse #4 focuses on a murderer with a woman with a crossbow and a fox mask and a sword. Death is coming!
As always in this series, James Tinion IV and Michael Walsh contributed to the opening and closing of this issue, while Choi Grayson’s writing and Adam Gorham are on the brunt of the main story. Exquisite Corpse #4 begins with one of the workers behind the scenes of the event, with a scene that educates readers about the mystical Bunny-Director’s murderer. Walsh is impeccable to catch your eye, especially with the closing pages that embody the killer we’ve never seen before. Bookends are effective in establishing new killers for the arena.
As for the main story, Grayson and Gorham pick up a subplot involving women working at car dealers. EMT also has a quick check-in, but this issue is one of the most focused issues regarding two specific killers.
I want to eat it with a baby burger.

It’s in car dealers, violence has diminished, and Grayson continues to embody the blameless dealer owner. Good fear always finds a way to make you want someone else’s end mise, and Grayson contributes to Gorham and makes him very despicable. What sets this scene apart from other tense build-up scenes is its focus on the characters through their eyes and small movements. The murderer who adorns the cover may be standing there in pretty ordinary clothes, but she is so dangerous that she comes.
When violence begins in gear, this issue certainly leaps towards the action side of things. There are some horrifying gores, but your eyes are drawn in the Gorham battle sequence. It’s bold and exciting, and there’s good reason to root one of the other killers.
Again, the general plot differs from this issue, but it works. One of the complaints I had was the way the ultimate killer used to take people out. It’s far less realistic than what we’ve seen before. We will push forward with reliability and make this a more sci-fi than before.
Exquisite Corpses #4 is a tense, bloody installment that shines through character-driven horror and visceral actions, even if the finale is more reliable than past issues. Of course, except if you’re rarizing more, this series continues to prove that it’s worth a sleeper hit. This is a clash of vicious and stylish killers that reminds us why this series is one of the most unpredictable horror rides in comics today.
“Exquisite Corpses” #4 is a tense, action-packed issue

The exquisite corpse is always suitable for character-focused horror and thrilling action, solidifying the series as a must-read.
Tension, horror-driven storytelling with clever accumulation at car dealers.
The Adam Gorham battle sequence is dynamic, bloody and visually thrilling.
An effective Bookend segment of James Tynion IV and Michael Walsh expanding the Killers roster.
I feel that the ultimate way of sending murderers is less grounded than in previous entries, tweaking the story to sci-fi in ways that may jar some readers.
A narrower focus means there are fewer check-in on wider casts and subplots.
