The Future, Our World… After years of health, economic and ecological crisis, civilization recovers 15 years later, and the enormous slammed by the chaos of activist groups divided among the large urban centres A global civil war erupted by pharmaceutical and political scandals. Under military and medical surveillance, and under free rural areas where those who reject this health care system are evacuated. In this divided world, Beck sets out looking for her leader, Cal, who has been missing for several days. This quest leads a young orphan into the town of Bajara.

“Because of the theory of KO, I wanted to create an interesting series inspired by teen reading. It’s a lot of action and fun, but I also explored important themes such as ecology, technology, and human society. ” Mathieu Reynès said in a press release. “I proposed this series to Mad Cave Studios because I was already working with Mark Irwin on a previous project and trusted him. Fortunately for me, Mad Cave had Nakama Press. We were about to launch it. It’s motivated to be at the beginning of something like this and benefit from this exciting new energy.”

For those interested in checking out science fiction epics, The Theory of Ko Vol. 1 From Mad Cave Studios and Nakama Press, arrives at Comic Bookstores and Online Retailers on July 15th, 2025.
