Since 2022, Amazon has been holding its second Prime Day in October, and the sales event will return this year. Prime Big Deal Days will return on October 8th and 9th, but some great deals have already started appearing across Amazon’s site.

As always, most of the deals we expected to see on Prime Day in October were exclusive to Prime members, and some of the early Prime Day sales we’re seeing now are following suit. Don’t worry if you’re not a Prime member; there are always some discounts available to all shoppers. But if you’re paying the $139 annual fee for Prime, now’s your chance to get even more out of it. These are the best early Prime Day deals we found ahead of Prime Big Deal Day. We’ll be updating this post regularly leading up to Prime Day in October, so check back for the latest deals.

Prime Day deals on Apple products

While discounts on new AirPods or the Apple Watch Series 10 are wishful thinking, there are still great deals on Apple products you can pick up right now, including iPads and accessories, as well as Beats gear.

Expect to see even more Amazon goods on sale as we get closer to Prime Day in October, but for now, these discounts are a good opportunity to save on some of your favorite products.

Prime Day tech deals

Early Prime Day tech sales include discounts on robot vacuums, webcams, smart plugs, and more, along with cheap gaming accessories and storage devices of all shapes and sizes.

Logitech Brio 500 Full HD Webcam for $93 (Save $37): Our pick for the best webcam you can buy right now is $37 off. It’s not a record low, but it’s still a decent discount. If you spend a lot of your day making video calls, this is a solid upgrade to your computer’s built-in camera. It has a wide field of view, automatic light correction, and can capture 1080p video.

Anker Nano Power Bank 10K for $32 (Save $8): This is the lowest price yet for this 10K power bank that includes a built-in USB-C cable for connection.

Google Pixel 8a Smartphone for $399 (Save $100): If you’re looking for an Android smartphone that’s packed with advanced features and is also affordable, the Pixel 8a is the best mid-range smartphone you can get right now.

Google Pixel Buds A Series for $64 (Save $35): This is one of the best deals on Google’s budget wireless earbuds. These earbuds are praised for their great sound quality, deep integration with the Google Assistant, and small, comfortable design.

Cosori 9-in-1 Air Fryer, $90 (Save $30): This new air fryer from Cosori comes with nine preset cooking modes and, with a 6-quart capacity, it’s just the right size for cooking large amounts of food without taking up too much space on most countertops.

Samsung Pro Plus microSD Card (512GB) with Adapter, $30 (Save $54): Currently 64% off, this high-capacity microSD card is perfect for anyone who needs extra storage for their camera, tablet, or Nintendo Switch (or other handheld gaming console).

Samsung T7 Shield (4TB) for $280 (Save $220): If you’re looking for a durable, high-capacity portable SSD, this deal marks the lowest price on the 4TB T7 Shield since June.

Baseus 30W/10000mAh MagSafe Power Bank, $28 (Save $18): With a 40 percent off coupon, you can get a power bank that made it into our guide to the best power banks you can buy at a record low price. It quickly charges your MagSafe-enabled smartphone and comes with a convenient built-in cable.

Kasa Smart Plug EP25 (4-pack) for $34 (Save $16): These were our top picks in our guide to the best smart plugs available today thanks to their compatibility with all four major smart home ecosystems, easy setup process, and reliable connections.

Streaming subscription deals

While these discounts aren’t technically part of October’s Prime Day tech sales, we still feel they deserve a mention. Streaming service sales are becoming more common, but they don’t have the same rhyme or reason as Amazon’s Prime Day sales cycle. That said, if you see a discount on a service you’ve been thinking about trying out, it’s worth jumping on.

Everything you need to know about Prime Day in October 2024

When is Prime Day in October 2024?

This October’s Prime Day will take place on October 8th and 9th.

What is Prime Day in October?

Prime Day in October is a members-only sales event run by Amazon, where the online retailer will be running thousands of sales on its site exclusively for active Prime members.

How long is October Prime Day?

Prime Day in October will last for two full days.

What’s on sale on Amazon Prime Big Deal Day?

Most of the October Prime Day sales aren’t announced until the day of the event, but in past years the event has featured sales on everything from clothing to household essentials to outdoor gear. Engadget prioritizes tech sales over anything else, and past fall Prime Days have seen deep discounts on phones, tablets, headphones, earbuds, robot vacuums, smart home devices, and more.

Do I need to be an Amazon Prime member to shop the Prime Day sales?

Yes, most sales are exclusive to Prime, but there are always a few great deals available to all Amazon shoppers, so it’s worth checking out Amazon’s site during Prime Day in October to see where you can save even if you don’t pay for Prime.

Expired Prime Day Early Sale

Apple Magic Mouse (Black), $85 (Save $15): The white version of Apple’s popular accessory is even cheaper at $68, but the black version rarely goes on sale. Both mice pair quickly, are relatively lightweight, and offer good responsiveness with touch gestures.

Apple iPad Air (13-inch) for $720 (Save $80): Your favorite larger iPad model is often back on sale. It’s about $20 more than its lowest price ever, but it’s still a bargain for anyone who’s had their eye on the 13-inch Air.

Apple Pencil (1st generation) for $69 (Save $30): If you have a 10th generation or earlier iPad, this stylus is a good choice. This discount has been on for a few weeks now, but it’s still $10 off the average sale price. It’s also on sale at Walmart.

Samsung Pro Plus microSD card for $100 (Save $20): This newly released 1TB model is now at its lowest price ever, and the Pro Plus is our top pick in our best microSD cards guide.

Beats Fit Pro Earphones for $159 (Save $41): These great earphones for running are on sale for $41 off. We’ve seen this price point a lot over the past few months, but it’s a decent discount for earphones that we’ve found comfortable, with a secure fit and great sound quality.

Beats Studio Buds for $99 (Save $51): Though they’re a bit outdated at this point, the Studio Buds are a great buy at under $100.

Amazon Echo Show 5 + Sengled Smart Bulb Bundle for $60 (Save $50): This bundle gives you one of our favorite smart displays (it makes a great alarm clock) and the top pick from our Best Smart Bulbs guide at 45 percent off.

iRobot Roomba Vac Robot Vacuum for $170 (Save $80): This affordable robot vacuum is currently only $10 more than its Prime Day price in July, making it an even better option for those who want a robot vacuum without spending a fortune.

8BitDo Ultimate C Wired Gaming Controller for $15 (Save $5): Now $1 cheaper than it was on Prime Day in July, this 8BitDo accessory is an even better choice for PC gamers or those looking for a more comfortable Steam Deck controller.

ASTRO Gaming A40 TR Wired Gaming Headset for $100 (Save $30): Our pick for the best gaming headset is $30 off, a discount we’ve seen a few times this year. We found this headset to have better sound quality and be more comfortable than many headsets, but the microphone performance is so-so.

Anker 633 10K Magnetic Power Bank, $40 (Save $40): This MagSafe-enabled charging bank has a built-in kickstand for propping up your iPhone, plus a 20W USB-C port for fast wired charging.

Anker MagSafe Charging Pad, $19.19 (Save $4.80): This Qi2 charging pad is back on sale at its lowest price ever, and it works with the latest iPhone 16 devices.

Anker Prime Power Bank 200W 20K with 100W Charging Base for $140 (Save $45): A top premium pick from our best power banks guide, this 20K brick can charge most mobile devices and has a handy screen that displays the output power and remaining charge.

Elgato Stream Deck+ for $170 (Save $30): When you combine the discount with a clippable coupon, you can get the upgraded version of the standard Stream Deck for a record low price.

TP-Link AC1200 WiFi Extender for $20 (Save $30): The top budget pick from our Best WiFi Extender guide is currently on sale for less than half off. While not an unusual deal, it’s a record low price for a handy device that helps eliminate dead zones around your home.
