Amazon’s next Prime Day event is just around the corner, and sales are already underway. Google’s Pixel Buds A-series earphones have been discounted to just $64 from the usual price of $99. The 2021 A-series was a more affordable version of Google’s 2020 Pixel Buds. Though it doesn’t have advanced features like wireless charging or active noise cancellation, the sound quality and battery life are good for the price. If you’re an Android user looking for a good pair of earphones that don’t require a budget, you should check these out.

$64 on Amazon
The Pixel Buds A-Series may be a few years old, but they’re still great earbuds. When the Pixel Buds A-Series first came out, I reviewed them and gave them an 84 out of 100, and was especially impressed with the sound quality, Google Assistant integration, and comfort. The A-Series earbuds have small “stabilizer arcs” to ensure a secure fit in your ear. There are a few controls onboard, like play/pause, answering calls, and skipping songs, but no physical volume control. If you want volume control, you’ll need to use the Google Assistant or adjust the volume on your device.
According to Google, the Pixel Buds A-Series earbuds provide about 5 hours of music playback or 2.5 hours of talk time on a single charge. With the charging case, music playback time increases to about 24 hours. In the current sale, you can get the Pixel Buds A-Series earbuds in Clearly White or Dark Olive for $35 off the regular price, and for an extra $1 you can also get the Charcoal color (unfortunately, the pale blue Sea color option doesn’t qualify for the discount). At $64, the Pixel Buds A-Series are near a record low, and cheaper than they were on Prime Day in July.
