Does the Supergirl movie logo reveal a slight title change?

It takes less than three months for James Gunn’s Superman film to jump into the theatre. To say that the future of Warner Bros. and DC Studios is doing a lot is an understatement. This year may be “Summer of Superman,” but coming next summer is when Supergirl shines in her own feature film. The woman from Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is an eight-shot miniseries by author Tom King and artist Bilquis Evely, with the film starring Milly Alcock as a masterpiece. As those familiar with the miniseries know, the story follows a Steel girl with a Stoicinion Girl (played by Eve Ridley) in a “murderous quest” that takes the pair to multiple planets. Directed by Craig Gillespie from the script by Ana Nogueira, filming for the Supergirl film begins last January and is expected to continue until May.

Yesterday, actor David Krumholtz, who plays Supergirl’s father Zoruel, posted what appears to be the official logo of the film on Instagram.

Certainly, this is just a placeholder design for the Supergirl movie logo, and the final version could be completely different. It is worth noting that the subtitle “Women” is not featured in the title logo. Therefore, it is very likely that the film will drop subtitles and simply be called Supergirl. A similar decision was made for the new Superman, originally entitled Superman: Legacy.

Despite being based on the aforementioned miniseries, the film clearly deviates from the original source material, particularly the inclusion of the Robo, portrayed by Jason Momoa’s perfect casting.

Whatever the title of the Supergirl movie, fans are looking forward to seeing it when they arrive at the theater next summer on June 2, 2026.
