Image Comics has announced a variety of Crisis events by writer Deniz Camp and artist Eric Zawadzki, with colors by Jordy Bellaire and letters by Hassan Otsman Elaou. The ongoing anthology series is about people just trying to get through a normal day, but instead deals with time loops, space portals, deranged time travelers from different eras, and alternate-dimensional versions of themselves. Follow in the footsteps of ordinary people who have to. Just while strolling down the street.
Meanwhile, the overall story delves deep into what caused the sudden change in the rules of time and whether it is possible to undo the damage. Fans of Crisis on Infinite Earths, Black Mirror and Doctor Who will enjoy this time-bending, clock-shattering new series. The first issue will be released in March of this year.
“Crisis events are like ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’ when it happens to ordinary everyday people, or like Black Mirror when the fabric of space-time collapses,” Camp said. “But on a deeper level, Assorted Crisis Events has been one of the most ambitious and rewarding creative experiences of my life. Throughout the series, we’ve told the larger story of the crisis: what’s causing it, what can be done about it, The challenge of making every issue feel complete, personal, and original while playing a character like Who Is the Broken Man? was thrilling. Every member of the team adds so much to every issue I’ve ever worked on, no one is just doing their job. I think it ranks as some of the best out there. If you like what I’ve written so far, please pick it up. You won’t be disappointed.

Time is at stake in various crisis events. Amidst the red-light district, you’ll find real cavemen, medieval knights, and cyborg soldiers on leave from World War II. Victorian debutantes wander into a mobile phone store, confused and bewildered (what’s a data plan?). On their way to work, the blurry-eyed commuters are trapped in a time loop and attacked by alternate reality versions of themselves as they try to avoid a post-apocalyptic wasteland. And look: The 3:15 bus just took a wrong turn…to the Neolithic era. Up-and-comers Camp and Zawadzki and Eisner Award winners Belair and Otsman-Elau are proud to present Assorted Crisis Events, an ongoing zigzag anthology series about the clicks of our clocks.
