Marvel made many announcements on Friday at the retailer-only panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2025. This includes the Crossover One-Shot with DC Comics and the Crossover Limited series with Ridley Scott’s iconic aliens.
Debuting in September, Marvel/DC: Deadpool/Batman #1 features writing by Kevin Smith and Zeb Wells. Art by Kelly Thompson; Chip Zdarsky; Al Ewing; Frank Miller; Greg Capro and Adam Kubert; Grihill; Terry Dodson. Dyke Luann; Frank Miller. This issue includes Capro’s main cover art, a series of variations and two backup stories. “Rocket Raccoon/Green Lantern” written by Ewing and drawn by Luanne, and “Wolverine (Old Man Logan)/Batman (Dark Knight Returns)” were written and illustrated by Miller.
“The pairing of the Rocket Raccoon and Green Lantern felt very random when I was assigned, but you can chart a line between the two characters who take you through a kaleidoscope of connections between one universe and the other universe,” Ewing said.
November, Alien vs. Captain America #1 is written by Frank Thierry and drawn by Stefano Rafaelle, along with Reinil Francis Yue’s main cover art and Dan Panosian’s variant cover art, and is sent to space to lead Steve Rogers into space and fight the Xenomorphs.
In addition to these epic crossovers, Marvel also announced a new limited series that debuted in November, teasing an announcement that would drop after SDCC, including a new street variant cover by inhyuke lee.
