DC Comics revealed today at New York CC that the Avos Root line will expand in 2025, with a new series coming to the DC All-In Initiative. Panel discussions included Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta, Tom King and Daniel Sampere, Joshua Williamson and Dan Mora, Jeff Lemire and Nick Robles, Jason Aaron, Jeremy Adams, Al Ewing, Clayton Henry and Hayden Sherman were in attendance.
The big news was that a new “Absolute” series, “Absolute Maritan Manhunter,” written by Deniz Camp and illustrated by Javier Rodriguez, is in the works. The series will join Absolute Green Lantern and Absolute Flash in 2025. Camp, along with artist Javier Rodriguez, will make his DC series debut with a new take on one of DC’s most enigmatic characters. Fans will have to wait until March of next year to see if Chocos (Martian Manhunter’s favorite snack) will be involved.
Speaking of Absolute, writer Jeff Lemire is one of two panelists working on both the All In and Absolute titles, and he joins the panel along with artist Nick Robles, also in March We talked in detail about the upcoming Absolute Flash series.
They discuss how Scott Snyder cast them in this series, how they reimagined Fastest Man Alive for this new world of storytelling, and why Wally West was the right fit for this project. We discussed whether (and how) another character to take on the Flash’s mantle will appear in the series, and how Robles approaches writing a superhero series. The Green Lantern Corps will also join DC’s Absolute line in March 2025, and Ewing talked about collaborating with artist Janoy Lindsay on Absolute Green Lantern. While art by series artist Lindsay is once again available exclusively to audiences, director Ewing talks about how Absolute “showrunner” Scott Snyder convinced him to become a part of the Absolute Universe, and how the series will become a part of the Absolute Universe. reveals whether it will follow the same aesthetic as other Absolute titles such as Absolute Batman. Absolute Superman and absolute Wonder Woman, which members of the Green Lantern Corps besides Joe Mullane will appear in the series, and what readers will find out about him and Lindsay when the series launches in March 2025. Adams will continue writing the monthly adventures of Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps, but also revealed early details for Green Lantern: Fractured Spectrum, with art provided by V. Ken Marion. . This January 8th one-shot follows Hal Jordan’s reformed Green Lantern Corps as they investigate the emergence of “Fractal Lanterns,” beings who manifest uncontrolled parts of the emotional spectrum. Following the events of the special. It is pervasive throughout the universe, threatening the very nature of sentient life.
It was also revealed that John Ridley will co-write Justice League: The Atom Project with Ryan Parrott. With art by Mike Perkins, the series launches in January 2025. This is a spy thriller in which Ray Palmer and Ryan Choi (a hero known as the Atom) team up with the newly formed Justice League to bring order to chaos, restoring and aiding society. The superpowers of DC’s superheroes after the battle with Amanda Waller. But not everyone wants their power back. One hero will do anything to make sure his powers are never discovered, and that is Captain Atom.
On January 29th, Lex Luthor returns in Superman: Lex Luthor Special’s Brain House post, based on a book by Joshua Williamson, with art by Eddie Burrows and Ever Ferreira.
So what is Superman: Lex Luthor Special?
During the Battle of the House of Brainiac, Lex Luthor’s memory was completely erased. But after the DC All In special, the world needs him to remember his past. There is important information in Lex’s past that could unravel an epic mystery plaguing Superman and the Justice League, but he may not want to remember it. It’s up to the Man of Steel to decide whether the information is worth sacrificing Lex’s newfound peace and the return of his deadliest enemy.
During the panel discussion, Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta, the creative team behind Absolute Batman, expressed how excited they are about the positive response from fans for the series’ debut. They made sure to thank colorist Frank Martin for his great work on the improved version of Batman. The launch of the series was further celebrated with the reveal of the cover of Absolute Batman Noir Edition #1, which will be released in comic shops on November 13th.
Snyder and Dragotta further teased the first story arc, “Zoo,” and gave fans an early look at the artwork for Absolute Batman #2, which also hits stores on November 13th. Among the highlights was a new version of the Batmobile. They were excited to reimagine it for this series. Additionally, DC has released both the main and variant covers for Absolute Batman issues #3 and #4.
Artist Hayden Sherman, who worked with author Kelly Thompson on Absolute Wonder Woman, shares some insight into their collaboration. The response from fans was so great that the first issue was reprinted before it hit stores. Sherman talked about how they and Thompson developed a new take on Wonder Woman’s character design that will continue to evolve. They also shared details about giving Wonder Woman a giant sword and fiery Pegasus as part of her new look.
Jason Aaron, who is writing Absolute Superman with artist Rafa Sandoval, spoke about their work on the series, which will be released on November 6th. Aaron reflected on how living in Kansas gives him a personal connection to Superman. He talked about how he and Sandoval pared down Superman’s character to fit the new world, and hinted at possible changes to other familiar characters.
Jeff Lemire also shared more about his views on JSA (read the interview for more details). Lemire talked about the differences between the JSA and the Justice League.
Ram V discussed his upcoming project, The New Gods, which reimagines Jack Kirby’s Fourth World. He shared the feedback he’s received since the announcement and provided insight into how he’s working with Snyder and Joshua Williamson to develop Darkseid and other key characters.
Al Ewing is working on two DC projects, including Metamorpho: Element Man and Absolute Green Lantern, both scheduled for release in 2025. Ewing, a longtime fan of Metamorpho, expressed his excitement to work on the series and collaborate with artist Steve. Lieber also talked about how Scott Snyder convinced him to join Absolute Universe.
Tom King and Daniel Sampere spoke about recent developments in Wonder Woman, particularly the birth of the series’ long-awaited daughter Trinity. They reflected on how Trinity has evolved from its original idea and how Wonder Woman is balancing her new role as a mother with the ongoing challenges she faces.

Artist Dan Mora revealed his work on Justice League Unlimited, which launches on November 27th, and shared his experience continuing to collaborate with writer Mark Waid. He also spoke with Joshua Williamson about the new Superman storyline with Lois Lane becoming Superwoman and how that dynamic changes Superman’s place in the DC Universe.
Finally, Clayton Henry shared his experience working on Action Comics as it transitioned to a weekly release schedule. He previewed upcoming storylines related to The Phantom Zone and talked about the return of Mon-El, who will play a key role in the series.
