DC is stepping up its digital efforts. DC has announced a partnership with GlobalComix to bring over 100 DC series to digital comics platforms. This will be the first new platform to offer DC comics since the heyday of Comixology.

Starting today, titles such as Batman, Superman, Catwoman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Suicide Squad, and more will be available to read on both the GlobalComix app and website.

The titles available at launch are:

DC’s signature series Batman Volumes 1-7, written by award-winning author Tom King Catwoman Volumes 1-6: Copycats, written and illustrated by Eisner Award nominee Joel Jones Doom Patrol Volumes 1-6, The Success of Doom Patrol Joker Volumes 1-3 from James Tynion IV Sweet Tooth Volumes 1-6, written and illustrated by award-winning creator Jeff Lemire, featuring Grant Morrison’s critically acclaimed run It led to an HBO MAX adaptation.

“DC is responsible for some of the most respected and revered pop culture icons, and we’re excited to bring hundreds of their iconic stories to readers around the world,” GlobalComix CEO Christopher Carter said in a statement. ” “With 400 books totaling approximately 75,000 pages, fans of DC and DC Vertigo have a wealth of content at their fingertips.”

GlobalComix has gradually emerged as the successor to Comixology in terms of offering a wide range of publishers. Already featuring the likes of Image, Dark Horse, Boom, and Vault, we’ve moved on to converting print comics into vertically scrolling comics through Verticals. program. Marvel and IDW remain available on Comixology. Marvel has an Unlimited subscription program.

DC’s own digital plans appear to be accelerating. Just yesterday, the company announced its own vertically scrolling comic book (webtoon) line, DC Go! Their regular works are available through their own monthly subscription services, DC Infinite Universe and Comixology.

With Comixology being absorbed into Amazon’s Kindle program, several digital platforms have entered the new space race. Among them, GlobalComix’s addition of DC to its offering has given them a huge advantage and made them a clear winner. Will Marvel end up signing on the dotted line too? stay tuned.

Comics purchased from GloablComix can be read on iOS, Google Play, or via the web. And readers can pick up a demo of GlobalComix’s DC Channel at New York Comic Con (October 17-20), booth 3300.
